Before heading out to row, please refer to the USGS river level graphs located on the Rowing Safety page. The Trinity River height should be 16' or below. Safety comes first, so please be mindful of water conditions and plan to row with a buddy whenever possible.
]]><![CDATA[SteerHead Training Event Recap]]>Thu, 22 Oct 2020 05:00:00 GMThttps://www.fortworthrowing.org/news/steerhead-training-event-recapSaturday, October 17, thirty-one athletes from the FWRC members, TCU Rowing Team, White Rock Rowing Club and Dallas Rowing Club participated in the 3,000m SteerHead Training Event. The majority of rowers were from the TCU team, but many master athletes, both novice and veteran, raced in the event.

Thanks to all for pitching in and getting all the required tasks accomplished.

Special acknowledgments:

Lee and Geoff for their great job setting out the course and preparing the dock.
Andy, Bonnie and their TCU helpers kept the race flow consistent and reported accurate race results in a timely fashion.
Steve for managing the technical aspects of the race. His efforts included entering the race lineup on the CrewTimer and troubleshooting app-related technical issues.

Many others helped out by monitoring key locations on the course and launching, sanitizing and recovering boats, plus providing tables, supplies and other items as needed.

These victories were in the 2,000m & 500m ERG Sprints. The Alexandria competition had over 1,500 racers.

Congratulations also goes out to the TCU athletes who participated in the SWEAT in Dallas on Saturday, February 2.
